The article traces the application of the concept of science as a war of ideas in French and Bulgarian scientific circles. The aim is not to provide a historiographical analysis of the writings of the authors considered in this text (Sylvain Gouguenheim, Vsevolod Nikolaev and Stefan Dechev), but to show the reception of their scientific views in the academic community in the context of the concept of “science as a war of
ideas”. For the purposes of the study, researchers were selected whose views are accepted as “radical” by representatives of conventional
historiography.
